Halloween is just around the corner, and the Flyer News staff is getting ready to celebrate! We've gathered some of our favorite costumes, candy memories, and tips to make your Halloween unforgettable.
Our Team's Spooktacular Costumes
From classic to creative, our team loves to embrace the spirit of Halloween.
- John, our Editor-in-Chief, recalls a memorable year when he dressed as a "Hipster Zombie." He paired a vintage flannel with ripped jeans, a tattered fedora, and a touch of ghostly makeup. It was both quirky and spooky!
- Sarah, our Marketing Manager, is a fan of classic costumes. Her go-to is a glamorous witch with a flowing black gown and a pointy hat. She's always ready to cast a spell on everyone with her charming smile and a touch of dark eyeliner.
- Mark, our Senior Writer, enjoys creating unique costumes. He once stunned everyone by crafting an elaborate "Human Pincushion" outfit, complete with colorful pins strategically placed around his clothing.
- Our intern, Emily, is all about cute and quirky costumes. She's looking forward to dressing as a "Rainbow Unicorn" this year, complete with a fluffy horn and sparkly wings.
Candy, Candy, Everywhere!
Halloween wouldn't be the same without candy! Our staff shares some of their favorite childhood candy memories:
- "Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my ultimate Halloween treat," declares John. "The creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate are an irresistible combination."
- "Snickers! It's the perfect combination of chocolate, caramel, and peanuts," says Sarah. "And who doesn't love a little bit of a sugar rush on Halloween night?"
- "I'm a sucker for those classic candy corn," reminisces Mark. "They're a nostalgic reminder of Halloween from my childhood."
- "I love anything sour, especially Warheads! The intense flavors are a real treat," exclaims Emily. "But I try to keep them away from my sensitive teeth!"
